KML Datei in GPX Files online umwandeln/konvertieren

GPS Datei von KML in GPX konvertieren resp. umwandeln.

Ich habe hier eine KML Datei welche ein GPS-Track und div. GPS-Wegpunkte beinhaltet.
Die Wegpunkte habe ich zur Planung vom Track gebraucht.
Diese KML Datei möchte ich in ein GPX File umwandeln.

Im Handy oder z.B. auf der map.geo.admin.ch Online Schweizer Karte möchte nur den Track als GPX Datei ohne Wegpunkte angezeigt bekommen.
So möchte ich diese KML Datei in eine GPX Datei umwandeln und dabei auch noch die Wegpunkte entfernen.

Konvertieren von KML to GPX

Im Webbrowser öffne ich dazu die Website:
https://mygeodata.cloud/converter/kml-to-gpx
Die zu umwandelnde KML Datei auf der Website einfügen.
Entweder mit "Drag und Dorp" die Datei mit der Mouse einfügen
oder die Datei mit der Schaltfläche "Select from Geodata Drive..." auswählen und hinzufügen
drücken um die Auswahl abzuschliessen
Im folgenden Fenster
"1. Input Data" Man kann bestimmen ob nur Tracks oder auch die Waypoints in der Ausgabedatei drin sein müssen
Ich z.B. brauche die Waypoints nicht und lösche diese.
"2. Output Data" Hier wird das Ausgabe Format bestimmt > Ich wähle GPX
"3. Conversion" - drücken um die Umwandlung von KML in GPX zu starten
zeigt die GPS Datei in der Karte an
drücken um die konvertierte Datei als GPX Datei herunterzuladen und auf dem eigenen PC zu speichern.
Auf dem PC wird ein gepacktes ZIP File erstellt.
Diese Zip Datei kann jetzt entpackt werden und die gewünschten GPS Dateien stehen bereit zur Weiterverarbeitung.

Tourenplanung mit der Karte von Strava Heatmap.
Nachfolgend ein nützlicher Link zur Strava Heatmap Karte.
Darin kann man gut auslesen wo andere Biker (oder Wanderer) sich am meisten mit dem Rad bewegen.
Ich finde, die Karte ist für die Routenplanung für Outdoor Sportler ganz nützlich.

Strava ist das wohl grösste und bekannteste Internet Portal wo Sportler Ihre Outdoor-Aktivitäten hochladen.
Angemeldeten Sportler geben dort Ihre GPS-Streckendaten inkl. Leistungsmessungen an.
Die Streckendaten dargestellt in einer Landkarte sind für uns Mountainbiker recht aussagekräftig und informativ.
Die Anmeldung bei Strava ist gratis. Die Mitgliedschaft, damit alle Funktionen genutzt werden können, kostet jedoch Fr. 5.33 /Monat (Stand Oktober 2020)
Die Nutzung obiger Strava Heatmap ist zur Zeit aber (noch) kostenlos.

Garmin gehackt - infiziert mit Ransomware Schadsoftware "WastedLocker"

Garmin ist gehackt worden und angeblich mit Ransomware verseucht worden.
Die Garmin Online Dienste sind seit Donnerstag 23.Juli nicht erreichbar.
Grund:
Die Garmin Server sind gehackt worden und mit der Ransomware Schadsoftware "WastedLocker" infiziert.
Garmin Fitnesstracker, Garmin Uhren oder Garmin Navigationscomputer können somit nicht auf die Garmin Server zugreifen und dort Daten synchronisieren.

Die Ransomware "WastedLocker" verschlüsselt auf den angegriffenen Server (Garmin) die vorgefunden Daten.
Um die Daten zu entschlüsseln fordern die Hacker ein Lösegeld.
Gemäss BleepingComputer Webseite sollen die Hacker von Garmin ein Lösegeld von 10 Mio Dollar gefordert haben.

GoogleMaps Route in GPX Datei umwandeln und exportieren

Bekanntlich lassen sich mit Google Maps schnell und einfach Fahr-Strecken resp. Routen planen
Mit GoogleMaps können neben Auto-Routen auch einfach(e) Velo-Strecken erstellt werden.
Leider ist es nicht möglich ohne Google Konto diese innerhalb von Google Maps erstellten Routen als GPX Dateien zu exportieren und
so einfach auf anderen Geräten weiter zu verwenden.

Mit https://mapstogpx.com/ habe ich jetzt eine einfache Lösung gefunden!

Google Maps Routen als GPX exportieren:

- Google Maps im Webbrowser starten https://maps.google.com
- Die gewünschte Route planen
- > [Menü] aufrufen (Symbol mit drei Querbalken)
- > Karte teilen oder einbetten > Link kopieren
- MapsToGPX Webseite aufrufen >> https://mapstogpx.com/
- Link einfügen und LET'GO drücken
- Speicherort auswählen und GPX-Datei wird heruntergeladen

Aktueller Vergleich von vier robusten (engl. rugged) Smartphones für die Mountainbike Outdoor GPS Navigation.
Vergleich der Technischen Daten folgender Handys:

- Ulefone Armor 2
- DOOGEE S60
- Blackview 8000 pro
- AGM X2 Pro.

Alle Smartphones sind robuste Wasserfeste Smartphones nach IP68 geschützt und beworben.
Nach was habe ich gesucht? Die Handy sollten für draussen auch bei einem kleinen Regenguss geeignet sein.
Wasserfest nach IP68 Schutzstandart war eine Voraussetzung. Robust sollte das Handy sein!
Deshalb kommt kein Glasding wie diese zerbrechlichen Apple I-Phone oder die Design Dinger von Samsung in Frage. Bei diesen Design Glasbomber bedeutet fast jedes runter fallen ein Totalverlust...
Das Smartphone sollte für die Navigation draussen via der OruxMaps App dienen. Darum kamen auch nur Android Telefone mit Touchscreen in Frage.

Hallo zusammen,
Seit langer Zeit möchte ich in mein Auto ein GPS-Navigationsgerät kaufen. Hab auf folgende Seite einige gute Testberichte durchgelesen und mich bereits für ein Modell entschieden. Habe es noch nicht bestellt, würde mir aber gerne eure Meinung zum Thema GPS-Navigationsgeräte anhören. Worauf muss ich beim Kauf achten? Und welche beheizbare Sitzauflage überhaupt die besten ist?

Hatte mir für Biken unlängst ein Teasi One gekauft, aber kam damit nicht klar bzw. war sowohl mit der Funktion wie auch mit dem Kartenmaterial nicht zufrieden.

Nun bin ich am überlegen, ob ich mir ein Garmin GPSmap 60csx zulegen soll, da es offensichtlich - und das trotz seines Alters - immer noch eine Kaufempfehlung darstellt.

Nun meine Frage: Welche Erfahrungen haben Sie mit dem 60csx speziell was die Navigation anbelangt gemacht bzw. welche Voraussetzungen sind für die Navigation grundsätzlich notwendig.
Sind die teuren Garmin Topp Karten Grundvoraussetzung für die Navigation oder gibt es Alternativen. Und gibt es aus Ihrer Sicht fürs Biken andere Garmin Produkte oder Wettbewerbsprodukte, die Sie empfehlen können.

Ich würde mich sehr freuen, wenn Sie mir den ein oder anderen Erfahrungswert weitergeben könnten, ich selbst bin nach der Erfahrung mit dem Teasi ziemlich ernüchtert was die Navigationsfunktionalität anbelangt.

Danke für Deine Email. Ich versuch's mal zu beantworten.

Die GARMIN GPSmap 60, 62 oder 64 haben vier grosse Vorteile:

Sie sind Wasserdicht und relativ Robust
Das Display ist auch bei Sonnenlicht gut ablesbar
Wegen der Knopfbedienung sind Sie auch bei Nässe und Kälte gut Bedienbar, wenn nötig auch mit Handschuhen
Die Akku Batterien sind wechselbar und halten relativ lange.

Wieso ich das heute so schreibe?
Alles andere können die heutigen Handys ebenso gut und das meiste sogar besser...
Ich benütze mittlerweile ca. zu 90% mein Handy für die Navigation beim Biken/Wandern.
Das Handy kommt bei mir in einer Schutztasche am Schultertragriemen vom Rucksack mit.
Zuerst hatte ich lange Zeit immer beide Geräte dabei (Das Garmin GPSmap 60CSx und das Handy).
Heute ist das Garmin vor allem nur noch bei längeren Touren dabei. Es dient dort vor allem auch als gute Backup Lösung.
Das Garmin am Lenker befestigt hat vor allem dann seine Stärke, wenn ich einen vorgeplanten GPS-Track nach fahren will. Dann ist meine Lösung mit Handy Befestigung am Rucksacktraggurt halt eher umständlich.
Fürs Handy habe ich dafür noch keine Lösung direkt für den Lenker.

Meine Erfahrung zeigt mir: Ohne Fleiss kein Erfolg!
Will heissen, man sollte sich gut mit der komplexen Materie GPS Navigation auseinandersetzten, sonst wird man mit KEINEM GPS Gerät glücklich.
Dabei gilt > Die Übung in der Praxis macht den Meister!

Ich vermute stark das GPSmap 60CSx kannst du als Neugerät gar nicht mehr kaufen. Bleibt nur noch ein Gebrauchtgerät-Kauf.
Das GPSmap 60CSx ist auch heute noch eines der besseren Garmin Geräte.
Vor allem wenn man bedenkt das das Geräte im Jahr 2006 erschienen ist.
Ich habe diesen Kauf jedenfalls nie bereut.
Als Neugerät würde ich daher direkt zum GPSmap 64s greifen.

Wenn du eher auf Touchscreen Bedienung stehst, so würde ich mir heute wahrscheinlich das Garmin Oregon 600 zulegen.

Die Karten von Garmin sind relativ teuer aber meist ganz gut.
Es gibt heute aber auch kostenlose Karten welche auf Basis der freien OSM-Karten aufgebaut sind.
Diese OSM-Karten für die Garmin Geräte gibt es legal und kostenlos im Internet.
Hier in Europa sind diese OSM meist gut und es braucht darum keine (teuren) Karten von Garmin mehr.

Google Earth läuft neu direkt im Web Browser Chrome

Google Earth in 3D startet neu auch im Web Browser.
Bisher musste man dazu aber vorgängig die Google Software auf dem Computer installiert haben.

Beim vorbereiten von meinen Bike Touren ist Google Earth ein ideales Hilfswerkzeug um unbekanntes Gelände einer geplanten Tour zu erkunden.
Um die Google Earth 3D Ansicht bisher zu nutzen, musste man die separate Google Earth Software downloaden und als Desktop Software installieren.
Neu kann man die 3D-Erde Ansicht von Google Earth direkt im Web-Browser starten.
Dies funktioniert aber nur innerhalb vom Chrome Web Browser.
Auf anderen Browsern wie Firefox, Internet Explorer oder Opera hab ichs auch probiert. Dort läuft Google Earth nicht.

Kompass kalibrieren

Was mache ich wenn der Kompass vom Handy wieder mal spinnt und in die komplett falsche Richtung zeigt?

Problem:
Ich habe gerade die App "Peak Finder Alps" offen. Dort werden mir die Namen der sichtbaren Berggipfel angezeigt.
Leider werden mir zur Zeit die Gipfel etwa um 45° verschoben Gipfel zur Lage vom Smartphone Richtung der effektiven Berge angezeigt...

Lösung:
Der Kompass Sensor vom Smartphone muss neu kalibriert werden

Frage:
Wie kalibriere ich den Kompass Sensor an meinem Smartphone Handy?

Antwort:
Ich benutze dazu die App "GPS Status"

Ich öffne also die App GPS Status.
Dann tippe ich auf die unten links.
Er erscheint oben die Menuleiste wo ich oben das Symbol vom antippe
Im erscheinend Menu tippe ich auf
Um den Kompass zu kalibrieren drehe ich jetzt das Smartphone ein oder besser zweimal um jede der drei Achsen

und fertig ist der Kompass kalibriert.

I really doubt that my son has been indulged in some non social activities with some parasites of the society. Now a days he daily used to take his car and also getting some money. I tried to confront him but but in vain. I think i need to track him via gps so i can get him red handed. I searched fir gps devices online and couldn't understand properly about subscription etc so please tell me everything about it...i only know that there are two types of tracking systems. One based on sim and networks and other gps. So please clarify about both with link to purchase them. Also suggest some good places to fit it so its not easy to find, even in security check of malls...they check even below the cars with mirrors and under the bonat. Please provide link for both..thank you.

I lost my phone a few days ago. My phone company told me that they can't track it because I didn't pay for the tracking when I first bought the phone, but I have used it for gps, directions, etc, so obviously it is able to be satellite located. Is there any way that I can use a site online or a different method to locate it myself? I've seen sites online that say they can, but I don't know if they are safe to use.

Also, whenever we have tried to call it it goes straight to voicemail, so it is off. Will this make it impossible to find?

I don't think it was stolen, because the customer service people have told us the last time it was used, and I know it was me who made the call. If someone stole it they'd be using it, right?
